→ BRACKNELL IN THE PINC!
02/07/2009
The Bracknell Bees are extremely pleased to announce the signing of another key forward for next season's English Ice Hockey Premier League (EPIHL) campaign - 28 year old Michal Pinc.
5'10" Michal comes with immense experience and Head Coach Claude Dumas is excited about his latest recruit: "I am very happy that we have acquired the services of Michal Pinc, a talented player who has experienced good levels of hockey in North America and around Europe. Michal was drafted by the San Jose Sharks in the 5th round of the 2000 NHL draft and has a lot to bring to our team. I'm sure that Jaroslav Cesky and Michal will be the firepower that we wanted and I'm looking forward to work with both of them."
Michal began his senior career at HC Litvinov and represented the Czech national team in the prestigious 1999 Under 18s World Junior Championships. Following his drafting by the Sharks, Michal played in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) for the Hull Olympiques and Rouyn Noranda Huskies. After a brief spell back in the Czech Republic, Michal returned to North America to play for the Long Beach Ice Dogs in the West Coast Hockey League (WCHL) and in the United Hockey League (UHL) for the Muskegon Fury and Flint Generals.
After spells in Norway, Poland, Belarus and Latvia, Michal began last season at HC Varese in Italy, where in 26 games he picked up 11 goals and 24 assists. He ended the season alongside fellow new Bee and compatriot, Jaroslav Cesky at HC Chamonix in the French Elite League.
