This weekend the Bees are back at the Hive on Saturday night as they take on the Manchester Phoenix (faceoff 6pm) before hitting the road on Sunday for the trip to Peterborough on Sunday to face the Phantoms (faceoff 5.30pm).
Saturday nights home match up versus the Manchester Phoenix is sure to be a tough test for the Bees. The Phoenix have won nine of their last ten matches, with Guildford ending Manchesters nine game winning streak last Sunday in Guildford. Last time out against the Phoenix, albeit in Manchester, the Bees picked up an overtime point in a loss but ran the home team close. The Bees will be looking to continue the good form they have been in of late picking up the win against Swindon and narrowly loosing out to Slough at the Hive last Sunday.
The Phantoms away in Peterborough on Sunday night is a huge game in the fight for a playoff spot. The Phantoms having lost seven games in a row (two after penalty shots) picked up two impressive wins against Sheffield and Telford in their last two games and will be looking to further close the gap on the Bees in the fight for eight place. The last time the two sides met was at the Hive on New Years Day when the Bees prevailed - they will be hungry to pick up the road win.
Tickets are still available for Saturdays home game versus the Manchester Phoenix and can be purchased in person at the John Nike Leisuresport Complex box office or by calling 01344 789000.
At Saturday night’s home match there is the ever popular Shirt Off Their Back raffle, Ben Johnson's game worn shirt, right off his back at the end of the game is up for grabs – see the usual raffle ticket sellers or the Supporters Club table under block 1 for tickets.
Also the post-match signing table returns this Saturday. Meeting the fans behind the Sally Ann's Hair & Beauty Sin Bin, will be Tom Annetts, Martin Masa & Andy Munroe.
After the game, the players will also be available to meet fans in the post-match family bar (aka the Sponsor Suite). Feel free to hang on to see your favourite star.
Colin White Memorial Trophy
The Supporters Club are organising the Colin White Memorial Trophy, in memory of a long time and dedicated supporter of the Bees and someone who worked so hard as Chairman of the Supporters Club Committee for a number of years. They are fundraising in order to have a new shield made for an end of season trophy that they plan to re-name in honour of Colin. Please dig deep and donate and help to remember a true servant of the club.
